Linda lived a rich life filled with many experiences and career titles that have impacted communities across the country. She has served in senior leadership positions for the Fort Worth Museum of Science and History, the Witte Museum in San Antonio, the Connecticut Science Center, and the Women’s Museum in Dallas. She was the Executive Director of College and Career Readiness for the Dallas Independent School District, and finally, President and C.E.O. of Aspire, which she viewed as the culmination of her career.
If it is true that the measure of a person’s life is valued not by how much they love but, instead, by how much others love them, then the value of Linda Johnson’s life was indeed immeasurable.
During this challenging time, our thoughts and condolences go out to Linda’s family and loved ones. Our entire Aspire family will come together to honor Linda’s memory and continue the incredible legacy she has built.
A celebration of her life will be held at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, 1305 Damascus Road, Rockwall, Texas, on Wednesday February 28, at 2 p.m.
Linda and her family request that any donations in her name be made to: Aspire (formerly LIFT and the Aberg Center for Literacy) at bit.ly/in-memoriam-Linda-Johnson or by mail at P.O. Box 570159, Dallas, TX 75357.
